Leadership
The Lazarus Design is lead by ordained minister Jacob Rowe from Alvarado TX. Jacob was born March 31, 1988 and was led to the Lord at the age of 7. Although young, Jacob has been involved in church life and sound theological discipleship from a young age. Jacob moved to Alvarado from Cedar Hill TX in 7th grade. He then became a member of FBC Alvarado and remained faithful to the FBC youth group and church family until graduation in 2006. From there he enrolled at Tarleton State University where he attended classes and participated in the Texan football program from 2006-2010. He graduated from Tarleton in 2011 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a certification to teach in public schools. While enrolled at Tarleton, Jacob was involved in two main college ministries at Rocky Point Baptist Church and Harvey Baptist Church in Stephenville TX where he preached, discipled and led many to the Lord.
Jacob married his true love and best friend Charly Rowe May 7, 2011. Charly was raised in Early TX and attended Tarleton State University as well. She was a part of Rocky Point Baptist Church and Harvey Baptist Church while in Stephenville and served, mentored and discipled many young women. Charly is a phenomenal softball player, great singer and always has a smile on her face. She will go above and beyond serving and assisting others and feels called to the nursing field in order to help as many people as possible. Charly has the vision of going on medical mission trips to 3rd world countries in order to assistant those who have medical needs and to share the Gospel. She has been to Uganda twice as well as Rwanda and Burundi on mission trips to encourage and build churches in Africa. Charly is also a bit of a dare devil and even river rafted the Nile river while in Africa! She was also a killer roller derby chick before becoming a mom of two awesome kids!Charly works at a hospital in the cardiovascular section and literally saves lives everyday for a living! She is finishing her nursing school and will continue her nursing career where God places her. She is a very devoted pro-life activist who is constantly fighting for the unheard voices of children and helps pregnant moms at the pregnancy aid center in her community. She loves to be outdoors and spend time in God’s creation while spending the rest of her time with her family or helping and serving others. She has worked in nursing homes, assisted living developments and has taken especially good care of her family! She has faithfully supported and served with Jacob in all of the ministries God has placed them in and he is very blessed to have her as a wife!
October 2, 2013 God blessed Jacob and Charly with their first born child Sonny-Ann Elizabeth Rowe. At a whopping 10 lbs 6 ounces (sorry Charly) Sonny-Ann has been Jacob and Charly’s little sunshine! Full of energy and excitement, Sonny keeps both of them on their toes constantly! Sonny loves to be outside, go kayaking and fishing! Coloring everything, including the walls, is one of her favorite pastimes. In 2014 Jacob was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy treatments for 3 months. Doctors told Jacob and Charly that the chances of having children naturally was less than 1%. However on November 2, 2016 Abraham James Don Rowe was born! Jacob and Charly named their son Abraham because of the great faith the Biblical Abraham had in being told he would have a son, even though the chances were impossible! He is a constant reminder to Jacob and Charly to be faithful to God no matter what the circumstances. All in all this family of four is passionate about Jesus and want to serve Him in anyway possible!
Before and after Graduation Jacob served as youth minister at Harvey Baptist from 2010-2012. In 2012 Jacob accepted a coaching and teaching position at Alvarado High School and has been working there to the present day. In 2012 Jacob also accepted the position of youth minister at FBC Alvarado while also working at AHS. Jacob is passionate about young people and the importance of sharing the gospel of Jesus to the next generation. Many people are being deceived by the cultural because the people of God are mere babes when it comes to the knowledge and wisdom of the Bible. This is no time for timidity or fear people of God! We must preach the Word of God boldly and without hesitation! Whether it is preaching Sunday morning, revivals, disciple nows, church camps or just public speaking opportunities, Jacob and The Lazarus Design want to help you reach the people of your community for Jesus. The people dead in their sins are all around us and the church must wake up to the need that is around them! “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”  John 11:25 Come to the one who can give true life!
